   I tend to think that some crop circles are too fantastic to be man made, some indeed truly inspire wonder …. what I don’t like though is the outlandish statements in these documentaries that are presented as fact with no back up/reference…. what could have been an interesting and informative short documentary about the relationship between crop circles and mayan symbolisim, turns into yet another sensationalist “doco” that most critically thinking people won’t take seriously.

   Newly DIY indie giants Glasvegas have announced a short burst of British shows this April. Strange times for Glasvegas. The Scottish group were dropped by Columbia last year following lacklustre sales of their second album, but the band seem to have taken the news in their stride. Completing a lengthy British tour in October, the band are now focussing on a short burst of dates in April. Announcing the tour via their Tumblr, Glasvegas have confirmed three shows across the country. Opening in London’s Garage venue on April 3rd, the band will then perform at Liverpool’s Academy 2. Finishing with a hometown date, Glasvegas are set to perform in Glasgow’s Classic Grand on April 5th. A pre-sale for tickets opens at 9am tomorrow morning (January 25th). Parting company with their label last year, Glasvegas reflected on life as a DIY operation. Speaking to NME, guitarist Rab Allan insisted that the group will survive.
